The excitement is palpable as the 2026 NBA All-Star Game unfolds at the Intuit Dome in California. This year, the event takes on a fresh twist with a novel format that pits three teams against one another: USA Stars, USA Stripes, and the World Team.
In a departure from tradition, this All-Star Game will feature a four-game round-robin tournament. Each team will face off against the others once, culminating in a championship showdown between the top two teams. This innovative structure promises to bring a new level of excitement and competition to the All-Star festivities, a concept that basketball legend Carmelo Anthony is eager to elaborate on.
The USA Stripes team showcases a roster of seasoned veterans, including Jalen Brunson, Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell, Kawhi Leonard, De’Aaron Fox, and Brandon Ingram. In contrast, the USA Stars team is packed with emerging talents, featuring Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Maxey, Anthony Edwards, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Duren, Scottie Barnes, Jalen Johnson, and the youthful-at-heart Devin Booker, who, despite being drafted in 2015, brings a fresh energy to the court.
Rounding out the competition, the World Team boasts an impressive lineup of international talent, with players such as Norman Powell, Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Victor Wembanyama, Karl-Anthony Towns, Pascal Siakam, Deni Avdija, Jamal Murray, and Alperen Sengun ready to showcase their skills on the global stage.
The World Team features Norman Powell, Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Victor Wembanyama, Karl-Anthony Towns, Pascal Siakam, Deni Avdija, Jamal Murray, and Alperen Sengun.
