SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Following a wet and stormy Sunday, the upcoming workweek promises a more settled weather pattern. Expect temperatures nearing record highs from Thursday through Saturday.

The week kicks off Monday morning under partly cloudy skies, transitioning to increased sunshine as the day progresses. Morning temperatures will be unseasonably mild, ranging from the upper 40s to the low 50s, with afternoon temperatures rising into the upper 60s for most areas.
As a cold front sweeps across the southeastern United States, conditions will occasionally be breezy. Winds from the north are anticipated at speeds between 5 to 15 mph, occasionally gusting higher.
On Tuesday, a warming trend will commence as high pressure establishes itself over the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry. Expect temperatures to reach the upper 60s to low 70s.
Mid-week through Saturday will bring even warmer conditions, with afternoon highs soaring into the upper 70s and low 80s. There is a potential for local temperature records to be tested on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Forecast highs are in the lower 80s each of those days and record highs are also in the lower 80s.
Pollen counts will be increasing with the warm weather as trees and other plants begin to bloom as we get later in the month as well.

Weather conditions heading into next weekend will not only become very warm, but humidity levels ahead of the next storm system will become elevated.
A few spotty showers are possible Friday and Saturday. More widespread showers or a few thunderstorms are possible on Sunday along with afternoon highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Severe weather is not expected at this time for Friday through the weekend at this time. However, a few stronger storms cannot be ruled out due to the near-record warmth and breezy wind expected.
