AUGUSTA, Ga. – Authorities in Richmond County are actively searching for a man accused of a brazen act of violence involving a couple in their driveway.

According to reports, on February 4th, an unsettling incident unfolded on Evangelina Drive. A couple was in their vehicle when an unfamiliar man approached them unexpectedly.

The individual, later identified as 38-year-old Timothy Barnes, reportedly confronted the couple with a cryptic question, inquiring about “what type of time they were on.”

Confused by the question, the couple indicated they were unsure of what he meant. In response, Barnes allegedly brandished a firearm and began retreating, escalating the situation to a dangerous level.

After the two told Barnes, they didn’t know what he was talking about, he allegedly pulled a gun and began to back away.

The couple left, and came back and Barnes allegedly began shooting at them; gazing the female victim. Barnes allegedly chased the couple before crashing his vehicle.

Authorities say Barnes frequents the areas of Georgetown, Meadowbrook, Belfair Lakes and 12th Street in Augusta.

Timothy Barnes should be considered Armed And Dangerous. If you know of his whereabouts, contact the RCSO at (706) 821-1020 or (706) 821-1080.
