A Nigerian man recently recounted a fascinating experience he had on Valentine’s Day, a story that has since captured the attention of many online. The man, known by his handle @BenKing443 on the social media platform X, formerly recognized as Twitter, described how events unfolded with a woman he had just started to know.
Residing in Enugu, he had decided to purchase a Valentine’s Day gift from a local vendor, hoping to make an impression on his new acquaintance. Despite his efforts to engage her in conversation, the woman seemed more interested in her phone, barely acknowledging his presence.
Man Shares Valentine’s Day Experience
His luck changed when the vendor arrived with the gift. The presence of the package captured her attention immediately, shifting her focus from her phone to the unfolding scene. It seems the surprise had the desired effect, sparking her interest and marking a memorable turn in their interaction.
Prior to the gift arriving, the lady was glued to her phone, despite an attempt to strike up a conversation with her.
However, after the vendor arrived with a box, she stopped pressing her phone and paid full attention to his conversation with the vendor.
Subsequently, he told her about his intention to depart home and handed the box to his younger sister, who was excited.
”After some time the vendor arrived with a box, well packaged. And at that point she stopped pressing phone down. Full attention unlocked.She listened closely as I spoke with the vendor, already convinced the gift was hers. After we were done talking, I stood up calmly, told her I was heading home, picked up the box and left”, His tweet reads in part.
However, after the incident, the lady reached out to him about his behavior, eventually he blocked her.
