Staff Report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Authorities have arrested 38-year-old Kyle Sebastian Fowler, accusing him of distributing unauthorized game cards during his tenure at Flip Factory in 2024, which allegedly resulted in a financial hit exceeding $5,000 for the company.

On August 10, 2024, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy was called to Flip Factory, located at 7400 W. Newberry Road, following reports from a manager who accused Fowler of handing out additional game cards and perks. Surveillance footage reportedly captured Fowler engaging in these activities on 12 occasions between July 22 and August 8, 2024. The manager claimed that an internal check revealed Fowler was generating more game cards than justified by the purchased game plans, culminating in a business loss estimated at $5,120.

A legal warrant for Fowler’s arrest was issued by Judge David Kreider on January 29, 2026, with bail set at $5,000. Fowler was subsequently apprehended on February 15.

Fowler now faces charges of grand theft and operating a fraudulent scheme. He does not have any prior criminal record in the local area. Following his arrest, Fowler promptly posted bail and was released from custody.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
