The quiet neighborhood of North Ryde was disrupted on Friday morning when Chris Baghsarian was forcibly taken from his home by at least two masked individuals. The incident involved a third accomplice who drove a getaway vehicle, which was later discovered ablaze in a nearby suburb.
In a heartfelt plea, Chris’s family expressed their disbelief and confusion over the unexpected and distressing situation. “Chris’s kidnapping feels surreal, and we are struggling to make sense of the fact that he has been taken and that our family has been caught up in something that has nothing to do with us,” they shared, highlighting the shock and incomprehensibility of the event.
Describing him as a devoted family man, they emphasized his gentle nature. “Chris is a devoted father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He is deeply loved, gentle, and the kindest person we know – someone who would never hurt a fly,” they said, painting a picture of an individual cherished by those around him.
Amid the unfolding investigation, authorities have confirmed that the family has not received any ransom demands and that there are no apparent connections to criminal activities. This adds another layer of mystery to the already perplexing case.
During this trying period, the family has requested privacy as they navigate the emotional turmoil brought on by this unexpected event.
“As we wait for some form of closure or resolution, we ask for privacy and respectfully request that the media stop publishing photos of our extended family,” they said.
“This is an extraordinarily distressing time, and we need space to support one another and focus on navigating what comes next.”
