CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Parkland College’s professional program is experiencing significant growth, thanks to a state grant exceeding $3 million.
The funding is earmarked for the dental hygiene program, with strategic plans already underway to utilize these resources to benefit both the institution and the surrounding community.
“There are countless children, likely sitting in classrooms right now, suffering from toothaches. This highlights an urgent demand not only for dental care but also for preventative treatments,” explained Peyton Elliott, a second-year dental hygiene student.
