Patrick Dempsey has provided an update on his former Grey’s Anatomy co-star, Eric Dane, who is currently battling ALS.
The entertainment world is rallying in response to the recent passing of Eric Dane. His wife, Rebecca Gayheart, along with their daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14, shared the heartbreaking news that Dane succumbed to ALS on February 19. In the wake of this loss, many of his friends and colleagues from the industry expressed their sorrow.
Nina Dobrev, who worked with Dane on the film Redeeming Love, took to Instagram Stories to pay tribute. She posted a heartfelt message alongside a photo from their time on set, saying, “Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Eric.” She remembered him as a warm, generous, and passionate individual who exuded kindness and made everyone feel valued.
Dobrev, 37, also took a moment to reflect on Dane’s battle with ALS, a condition he disclosed to the public in April.

“ALS is a cruel and unforgiving disease,” Nina continued. “May his memory inspire more research, awareness, and progress toward a cure. He will be deeply missed.”
Alyssa Milano, who played Eric’s love interest on Charmed, reflected on her friendship with the Euphoria actor, too.
“I can’t stop seeing that spark in Eric’s eye right before he’d say something that would either make you spit out your drink or rethink your entire perspective,” she wrote on Instagram. “He had a razor-sharp sense of humor. He loved the absurdity of things.”
