The husband of an Ohio educator who was tragically shot and killed in her residence has been formally accused of murder, as revealed by court documents.
Caleb Flynn, aged 39, faces murder charges following the death of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Ashley, a devoted mother, teacher, and volleyball coach, lost her life to gun violence in her Tipp City, Ohio home early Monday morning. Reports from WHIO indicate that a 911 call was made from inside the house, reporting that Ashley had been shot in the head.
The caller informed dispatchers that the children were asleep in their bedrooms during the incident.

Caleb Flynn is now facing not only a murder charge but also two counts of felonious assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of evidence tampering. He was taken into custody and logged into the Miami County Jail at 5:07 p.m. on Thursday, according to jail records.
Officials alleged in court documents filed early Friday morning that “Caleb Flynn murdered his wife [redacted] in the morning hours of February 16, 2026.” Caleb Flynn allegedly shot his wife with a 9mm handgun and staged the crime scene, causing officers to be “lead estray.”

“The Tipp City Police Department appreciates the community’s patience and support while this collaborative investigative team worked diligently on this complex case. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the many agencies that have assisted—and continue to assist—in this investigation involving a tragic loss of life,” the Tipp City Police Department said in a statement, according to WLWT.
