In Sangamon County, Illinois, a joint effort by the Illinois State Police and the Illinois Department of Transportation led to the issuance of 20 citations within a mere two-hour period during a Move Over law enforcement operation on Thursday.
According to a statement shared by State Police on Facebook, Troop 6 collaborated with IDOT to conduct this operation on the southbound lanes of I-55. During this time, IDOT teams were engaged in brush clearing activities along the highway. To ensure safety, IDOT vehicles were equipped with flashing emergency lights, arrow boards, and other safety equipment.
