In a heartwarming gesture, Dax Shepard demonstrated his dedication to fatherhood this past Valentine’s Day.
The host of the Armchair Expert podcast shared that he prioritized his daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11, whom he shares with wife Kristen Bell, during the holiday. He humorously noted that Bell, known for her role in Nobody Wants This, might have found his level of attention slightly lacking this year.
“My daughters were my main focus this Valentine’s Day, and I went all out for them,” Shepard remarked on the Feb. 23 episode of the podcast’s Fact Check segment. “Let’s just say, someone’s Valentine’s Day might not have lived up to their expectations.”
Shepard confessed that Kristen wasn’t the only one left wanting more, as he also admitted to falling short in his efforts for his mother, Laura Labo.
And Kristen wasn’t alone, as Dax admitted he also came up short when it came to his mom Laura Labo.
“My mom’s in town,” he continued. “She’s been my Valentine for 51 years, so it really becomes a bandwidth. All my resources went to the little ones and I definitely neglected my mom and Kristen.”
Fortunately, the Parenthood alum was confident that his other leading ladies understood his logic, noting that “they saw that I was spending a lot of my energy on my other two Valentines.”
