Investigations are underway following a tragic incident in Washington state, where five individuals lost their lives in a brutal street stabbing on Tuesday.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) has confirmed that the attack claimed the lives of four adults in Purdy, along with the 32-year-old male suspect. His identity remains undisclosed, as reported by FOX 13 Seattle.

According to the report, three victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the fourth passed away after being transported to a hospital.

Deputies who responded to the scene shot the suspect, who was subsequently pronounced dead on site.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office has detailed that among the deceased is the suspect himself, aged 32, in the violent episode that unfolded in Purdy, Washington.

Officials said the incident unfolded just after 8:45 a.m., when the sheriff’s office was called about a man entering a Purdy home in violation of a no-contact order.

Deputies were on the way to serve the order when multiple witnesses reported a man was “stabbing people” outside the house at about 9:30 a.m., according to the outlet.

The suspect was shot by deputies just three minutes later, authorities said.
