In an extraordinary gesture, the 47-year-old DJ is holding an auction for a five-night stay at his magnificent estate in Jamaica. Nestled amidst the lush, rolling hills of Pompey, this retreat promises an unforgettable escapade.
The winner of this auction, along with 11 chosen companions, will have exclusive access to the property’s lavish amenities. These include eight luxurious bedrooms, a private chef to cater to their culinary desires, and an on-site concierge to ensure every need is met. For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, the estate offers a gym and spa, while those inclined towards creativity can utilize the recording studio. Moreover, guests can enjoy the seclusion of a private beach.
The adventure doesn’t end at the estate’s boundaries. Guests can embark on exhilarating experiences such as chartered boat trips, hikes to discover hidden waterfalls, and leisurely swims in pristine rivers. Additionally, they can soak up the sun on Jamaica’s renowned beaches and partake in guided excursions along the scenic coastline and to vibrant nearby towns.
Beyond the estate, guests can set sail on chartered boats, trek to hidden waterfalls, bask on beaches, swim in rivers and join guided adventures along the coastline and to nearby towns.
Diplo said: “Jamaica has been at the heart of everything for me. I’ve been going there for more than 20 years and it’s where so much of my story and Major Lazer’s story began.”
The exclusive stay will be auctioned at Get Up Stand Up Los Angeles on February 26, where the $1,000 ticket price will go towards Hurricane Melissa and LA wildfire victims.
Celebrities such as Winnie Harlow, Jodie Turner-Smith, Swizz Beatz, Alicia Keys and Sean Penn are joining forces at the event to support the Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE).
The evening will also feature live performances by Troy Baker Sound, g33zy, and Zuri Marley.
Diplo said of Jamaica: “The people, the culture, the music all shaped who I am. Earlier this year I traveled there with CORE to deliver food and water to families devastated by Hurricane Melissa, and what I saw stayed with me.
“Entire communities are rebuilding from nothing, and they still need our help. Being able to raise money for CORE is a way of continuing to show up for a place that has given me everything.”
The DJ’s bond with Jamaica runs deep. He recently teamed up with CORE and Winnie Harlow on a hands-on relief mission following the hurricane in October.
Diplo, known offstage as Wesley Pentz, created Pompey as a sanctuary for creative souls to gather, connect and find inspiration in nature’s beauty.
