One Piece enthusiasts are in for an unexpected treat, thanks to Netflix, which is bringing the excitement of the beloved series to the big screen.

In a recent announcement, Netflix revealed that the first two episodes of its eagerly anticipated series, One Piece: Into the Grand Line, will debut in theaters. This special cinematic release is set to occur in 200 selected cinemas across the United States, Canada, and Japan on March 10. This coincides with the series’ premiere on the Netflix streaming platform.

For fans in the United States, the theatrical experience of One Piece: Into the Grand Line will be available at various major theater chains, including AMC, Regal, Alamo, Cineplex, and Cinemark. Starting February 26 at 11 a.m. EST, fans can secure their seats by pre-ordering tickets through the official website, OPGrandLine.com.

Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 Sets North American Theatrical Release Date

In the United States, the One Piece: Into the Grand Line theatrical release will be held at various AMC, Regal, Alamo, Cineplex and Cinemark locations. Fans will be able to pre-order their tickets online beginning at 11 a.m. EST on Feb. 26 via the official OPGrandLine.com website.

The official logline for One Piece: Into the Grand Line from Netflix reads, “In Season 2 of this live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga series, Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), Zoro (Mackenyu), Nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar) travel to the Grand Line, a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. There, they’ll visit bizarre islands, recruit more allies, and battle formidable new foes as they search for the world’s greatest treasure.”

Netflix’s One Piece live-action adaptation premiered in 2023 to a surprisingly positive response from both critics and audiences. The series stars Iñaki Godoy as the infinitely iconic Monkey D. Luffy, as well as a whole host of fan-favorites to fill out One Piece‘s leading ensemble cast of eclectic characters.

As of the time of writing, One Piece Season 1 holds an 86% “Certified Fresh” rating via review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, as averaged across 63 critical reviews. Season 1 also boasts an even higher 95% audience-generated “Popcornmeter” rating, as averaged across more than 10,000 user-submitted reviews.

What Can Fans Expect from Netflix’s One Piece: Into the Grand Line?

One Piece: Into the Grand Line is set to mark the debuts of a whole host of fan-favorite stars in a wide variety of roles, including Joe Manganiello as Sir Crocodile, Awdo Awdo as Mr. 1, Sophiea Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5 and David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3. Into the Grand Line will also star Mikaela Hoover as the voice of Tony Tony Chopper.

One Piece franchise creator Eiichiro Oda previously opened up about Netflix’s translation of the animated Tony Tony Chopper to a live-action format, explaining, “The key to Season 2 is, of course, our weird talking animal. After extensive trial and refinement by the entire team, the day has come to finally unveil him!!”

Oda continued, “From his form and furs to his expressions and voice, and even lighting and gravity simulation – a world-class team brought their skills together in bringing Tony Tony Chopper to life, and now he’s ready to be introduced to the world!!”

One Piece: Into the Grand Line premieres on Netflix and in select theaters in the United States, Canada and Japan on March 10.
