Authorities transported the victims to the hospital following a shooting on Hayden Lanes Circle, as Jacksonville police launched an investigation into the incident.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Officials from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office are probing a Tuesday night shooting on Hayden Lakes Circle in Oceanway that resulted in injuries.
Law enforcement responded to the area shortly after 7 p.m. when reports emerged of two individuals being shot.
According to the sheriff’s office, the victims, who were residents of the nearby area, were strolling through the neighborhood when they became targets of gunfire from an unidentified suspect or suspects.
One victim, in their early 20s, and another in their late teens, sustained injuries. One suffered a chest wound, while the other was hit in the thigh. Thankfully, both injuries were reported as non-life-threatening by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
No suspect information was immediately known.
