His journey began on September 13, 2008, when he made his official debut for FC Barcelona’s senior squad in a La Liga match against Racing Santander. At just 20 years old, Busquets was introduced by then-new coach Pep Guardiola, playing the full match that ended in a 1-1 draw. This marked the beginning of a meteoric rise for the young midfielder.
Just months after his debut, Busquets was a starting player in the 2009 UEFA Champions League final held in Rome, where Barcelona triumphed over Manchester United. Rising Fast at FC Barcelona
