Police Launch Investigation Following Discovery of Woman’s Body Outside Elk Grove Village Extended-Stay Hotel

A startling situation unfolded near an extended-stay hotel in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, as reported by WLS.

Authorities revealed that a woman’s lifeless body was discovered shortly after 4:15 a.m. on Wednesday.

Throughout the day, investigators meticulously examined the site, gathering evidence and piecing together the events that led to this tragic find.

The Elk Grove Village Police Department has labeled the death as suspicious; however, they reassured residents that there is no ongoing threat, describing the occurrence as an isolated event.

“I was shocked and couldn’t believe my eyes,” shared Eva Wypych, a guest at a nearby accommodation. “I saw the body covered with a blanket.”

Wypych is staying at the hotel off Landmeier and Higgins Road and says she saw the body and investigators on the scene as soon as she stepped out for her early morning walk.

The Major Case Assistance Team responded alongside police. Investigators were seen going through dumpsters near the hotel, collecting multiple bags of evidence.

Wypych said hotel guests have heard reports of what may have played out, but so far investigators have not released details on the woman’s death.

“This, it just breaks my heart. People should love one another, care for one another,” Wypych said. “Nobody deserved that. We all created by God, and only God could take you.”

The woman found dead has not yet been identified by authorities.

Police have not said if she was staying at the hotel, but did say so far no one is in custody.
