Today, Meghan Markle showcased her approachable nature as she accompanied Prince Harry on a two-day visit to Jordan. The couple engaged with young Syrian refugees at the QuestScope youth center located in the Za’atari refugee camp near Mafraq. They immersed themselves in activities such as observing a music class and participating in a football session.
Earlier in the day, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a roundtable discussion in Amman. The meeting included representatives from the United Nations, various agencies, diplomatic figures, and donors. For this subsequent outing, Meghan transitioned from her formal all-white suit to a more relaxed ensemble.
The Duchess opted for wide-leg, high-waisted trousers, paired with a belt, a matching short-sleeved T-shirt, and a white shirt worn as a jacket during the classroom visit. This attire highlighted her casual yet stylish demeanor.
Known for her independent approach to styling, Meghan often handles her own hair, makeup, and wardrobe choices. Without an entourage—unlike Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who famously travels with a 6ft ironing board—the Duchess’s trousers displayed natural creases, reflecting her practical and hands-on style.

But Meghan clearly had no time to worry about the rogue wrinkles as she instead proudly focused on her important work in Jordan.
Further proving where her focus lay, the Duchess appeared to keep the creased trousers as part of her third outfit of the day, only changing her T-shirt for a smarter black blouse featuring statement shoulders.
Following their visit to the refugee camp, Harry and Meghan arrived at the Specialty Hospital in Amman. The Sussexes visited frontline health and mental health programmes and met World Central Kitchen staff co-ordinating food relief for Gaza from Amman.

Earlier in the day, Meghan and Harry joined a roundtable discussion with senior figures from UN agencies like UNWRA, UNHCR, World Food Programme, Unicef and diplomatic attendees from countries like the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Canada and the EU.
Philip Hall, British Ambassador to Jordan, thanked the Sussexes for travelling to the Middle East: ‘So I would simply say thank you very much indeed for coming.
‘Your visit, your support, your appreciation of the efforts that the United Nations, including of course, the World Health Organisation, the government of Jordan and others, are making here is enormously appreciated. So thank you for coming.’
While it’s thought Meghan prefers to style herself whenever possible, not all members of the Royal Family are as humble.Â
Former diplomat Simon Wilson told the 2023 ITVX documentary called The Real Crown how Prince Harry’s uncle Andrew, who was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of misconduct in public office, insisted on taking his own ironing board on a trade mission in 2002.
The former Duke of York was in Bahrain when he was Special ÂRepresentative for International Trade and Investment.Â
Mr Wilson said: ‘Prince Andrew always brought a large entourage with him. A private secretary, an equerry, a valet, a lady clerk and a business adviser. We were shocked when a 6ft ironing board was trying to be negotiated into one of the embassy cars.
‘I asked the valet and said, “this is insane”. And the valet’s reply was, “no one knows how to iron his Royal Highness’s trousers like me”.’

However, Meghan isn’t the first royal that’s worn creased clothes during an engagement. In July 2023, the Princess of Wales wore a £750 emerald Roland Mouret dress as she arrived at the All England Lawn, Tennis and Croquet Club.
Kate’s emerald outfit was accessorised with emerald teardrop earrings and a bow on her chest in Wimbledon emerald and amethyst colours.
The midi length made the outfit sophisticated, and the fit was flawless. And when teamed with Gianvito Rossi’s 105 heels and Emmy London’s Natasha bag, the look was classic Kate.
But while the Princess of Wales may have looked radiant in the structured green midi, many royal fans pointed out how creased her dress was.
Meghan and Harry, who stepped down as working royals in 2020 for personal and financial freedom, travelled to Jordan at the invitation of World Health Organisation (WHO).
WHO director-general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warmly welcomed the couple on the steps of the organisation’s office in Amman. He kissed and hugged Meghan who wore a white jacket and matching trousers and also embraced Harry.
Their trip – which Buckingham Palace officials are understood to have been informed of in advance – comes just a fortnight after William’s diplomatic visit to Saudi Arabia.
Harry’s estranged brother and sister-in-law Kate already have close ties with Jordan, and were surprise guests at the royal wedding of its Crown Prince in 2023.

The Waleses watched Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II marry his Saudi Arabian bride Rajwa Alseif at an Islamic marriage ceremony known as a ‘katb ktab’.
Kate’s family lived in Amman for a period in the mid-1980s when she was a young girl and the couple enjoyed a 2021 holiday in the Middle East country with their children.
William also welcomed Crown Prince Hussein to RAF Benson in Oxfordshire for a tour last October to meet his former flight squadron during the Jordanian heir’s UK trip.
In addition, Crown Prince Hussein’s mother Queen Rania is a member of the Earthshot Prize Council, the judging panel for William’s environmental prize.
William visited Jordan in 2018 and was joined on a number of official visits by Crown Prince Hussein, with the two men memorably watching a football match together.
In Jordan today, Meghan was left with bragging rights when she scored a penalty and her husband’s shot was saved, when they joined Syrian children at a refugee camp.
The Duchess looked triumphant and threw her hands in the air after her right-footed strike beat a girl in goal when the couple visited the camp, which is home to tens of thousands of displaced Syrians.
The couple are on a two-day visit to learn more about humanitarian efforts by the Jordanian authorities and a range of agencies supporting the health and wellbeing of Syrians and Palestinians who have sought sanctuary in Jordan over the decades.
They travelled north of the capital, Amman, to the sprawling Za’atari Refugee Camp, where families live in semi-permanent homes with a few shops available.
Harry and Meghan toured a youth centre run by the social development organisation QuestScope, which provides a number of activities from art and photography classes to music and sport, to engage the youngsters and help alleviate any mental health issues.
