Celebrity Makeup Artist Mario Dedivanovic Reveals Secret ‘Lip Lift’ Technique on Martha Stewart

Makeup by Mario has a new muse, and it’s none other than Martha Stewart.

Renowned for his artistry with Kim Kardashian, Mario Dedivanovic recently lent his makeup skills to another legendary figure, Martha Stewart. This collaboration appeared in a social media video promoting Stewart’s Elm Biosciences skincare line.

In the clip, Dedivanovic enhanced the 82-year-old entrepreneur’s natural beauty with a subtle, nude lip. He used his Makeup by Mario Ultra Suede Sculpting Lip Pencil in the shade Almond to achieve the look.

However, instead of the traditional lip lining technique, Dedivanovic opted for his signature “lip lift” method. As he applied the matte pencil, he explained, “I do over-line just a tiny bit in the center of the bottom and top of the lip,” demonstrating the subtle enhancement.

“I do over-line just a tiny bit in the center of the bottom and top of the lip,” he said, while carefully applying the matte product.

The shaping pencil is made to create the illusion of a fuller pout — and hundreds of five-star Sephora reviewers call it a “holy grail” and “the best staying liner.”

As for Stewart’s review? She dubbed the final result “gorgeous.”

The star’s longtime makeup artist, Daisy Toye, collaborated on the rest of her look, which included an eye look incorporating Dedivanovic’s bestselling Master Mattes Palette.

“Every makeup artist has this in their kit,” Toye declared, while Stewart called the neutral colors “so great.”

The trio also discussed Stewart’s new Elm Biosciences A30 Elemental Night Cream, which is designed to help smooth and firm skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines.

“This is my ideal consistency and texture for a cream,” Dedivanovic raved. (When we tried out the line ourselves, we were equally impressed.)
