Make no mistake: Shawn Johnson East is not gearing up for a fourth addition to her family.
The former Olympic gymnast, who is mom to daughter Drew, 6, and sons Jett, 4, and Barrett, affectionately known as “Bear,” 2, with husband Andrew East, recently addressed and debunked online rumors about another pregnancy.
“SPAM! NOT TRUE AND NOT OUR ACCOUNT HAHAHAHAH,” she clarified in a now-deleted Instagram Story on February 26, as reported by People. “This was our announcement for being pregnant with BEAR!!!!!”
The video in question, which sparked the misunderstanding, was originally from a 2023 episode of her and Andrew’s podcast, Couple Things with Shawn and Andrew.
During that podcast, the couple—who tied the knot in 2016—discussed expecting their third child, with Shawn, 34, mentioning her history of four pregnancies, including a miscarriage in 2017. Unfortunately, a fan took her words out of context and shared them on TikTok on February 23, which fueled the recent rumors.
