WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 24! In an exciting development on American Idol Season 24, fan-favorite Kyndal Inskeep has made her way to Hollywood Week in Nashville. A sneak peek has unveiled her song choice for the second Hollywood Week episode airing on March 2. The 29-year-old singer-songwriter from Indianapolis, Indiana, wowed judges Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan during her audition with her original piece, “Prayer of a Trying Daughter.” Her heartfelt performance on the guitar scored her unanimous approval from the panel.

During the auditions, Kyndal experienced a touching moment when 16-year-old Lainey Grace, a high school student from Prattville, Alabama, performed Kyndal’s song, “Honest,” on the piano. Although Lainey didn’t advance to Hollywood Week, she was thrilled to have met Kyndal, marking a memorable moment in her journey.

According to a sneak preview shared by TV Insider, Kyndal’s chosen song for Hollywood Week is “Human” by The Killers. The clip showcased her dynamic stage presence as she moved energetically, engaging the audience who responded with enthusiastic cheers. Donning a long-sleeved black shirt, denim overalls, a bandanna, and a star necklace, she captivated the judges, with Carrie Underwood visibly enjoying the music, while Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan appeared equally impressed by her performance.

In a sneak peek clip shared by TV Insider, American Idol season 24 contestant Kyndal’s Hollywood Week song was revealed to be “Human” by The Killers. A clip of the song showed Kyndal working the stage, walking around, and jumping, while the audience cheered. She wore a long-sleeved black shirt, denim overalls, a bandanna, and a star necklace. At one point, Carrie smiled and moved her head back and forth to the music. Lionel and Luke also looked pleased during Kyndal’s performance.

Kyndal Was Out Of Her Comfort Zone During American Idol Season 24 Hollywood Week

In the American Idol clip, Kyndal admitted that, usually when she takes the stage, it takes a couple of songs for her to get comfortable. She confessed that Hollywood Week was a challenge because she only had one chance to be authentic to who she was. Kyndal shared that she grew up in Indianapolis where her mom sang worship in the church, and they would sing together. She explained that her love for music came from her mom.

Kyndal shared that “Human” was a little bit more lively than what she usually sings, and she wasn’t going to have a guitar in her hands, so it wasn’t really in her comfort zone. Although she admitted that she was nervous, she added that it was a really great opportunity for her to show that she can also be free-spirited and fun. She said that she was ready to step out on the stage.

Kyndal’s American Idol season 24 Hollywood Week fate is not yet known, but the clip of her performance proves that she’s got what it takes to make it into the Top 30. She looked every bit the star on the stage, and it’s fantastic to see her pushing herself out of her comfort zone to perform a different type of song than she’s used to singing. This is exactly what an American Idol contestant will have to do, and to see Kyndal doing it so early in the competition is a phenomenal sign that she’s more than ready. Kyndal is on her way to becoming the next American Idol.

American Idol airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
