Reward Increased to $20,000 in Search for Southern Illinois Woman Missing for Two Years

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ill. – The search for a southern Illinois woman who disappeared nearly two years ago has prompted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to announce a $20,000 reward for information that could lead to her discovery.

Brittany Moeser was last seen on April 13, 2024. She had left her residence to walk her dog but did not return, according to authorities.

The sheriff’s office made a public appeal on Friday through a Facebook post, urging anyone with information to come forward. “If you have any leads that could help us find Brittany, please contact us. We will handle all tips with urgency and ensure they remain confidential,” the post read.

Moeser is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 128 pounds, and having red hair. At the time she went missing, she may have been wearing black athletic pants, black sneakers, and an oversized T-shirt. She is believed to be 38 years old.
