In Paris, Illinois, two fire departments were called to action on Saturday afternoon when controlled burns in local fields spiraled out of control. The Paris Fire Department, led by Chief Zack Janis, along with the Paris Community Fire Protection District, responded promptly to the emergency at the intersection of East 1650th Road and North 2100th Road.

The call came in around 12:15 p.m. on February 28, alerting the departments to a controlled burn that had unexpectedly escalated. To ensure they were well-prepared for any additional emergencies, an “All Call” was put out to gather sufficient personnel from the Paris Fire Department.
