SAVANNAH, Ga. — Anticipate the return of fog overnight, leading into a cooler and cloudier Monday before a stretch of warmer weather graces the week.
Sunday morning began with patches of thick fog, which eventually cleared, giving way to sunny skies and temperatures climbing into the 70s.
As we head into Sunday night and Monday morning, prepare for another foggy evening, with dense fog likely to form in certain areas.
A Dense Fog Advisory is issued for regions along and to the east of Interstate 95, remaining in effect until 9 a.m.

In addition to the fog, a cold front will slowly move through the area on Monday. This will bring increased cloudiness to parts of the region, but the fog will likely dissipate as northeasterly winds pick up strength.
Depending on how far the front moves into the region, areas under the clouds and stronger northeast winds will struggle to warm through the 60s.
Areas south of the boundary under more sunshine will see 70s. Overall, it will be a cooler day compared to the warm Sunday.
High pressure returns and takes over the forecast for the remainder of the week. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s, while mornings will be moderate to 60s.
Rain will not be significant, but enough moisture in the region will bring daily passing shower chances from Thursday through the weekend.
