As the curtain falls on the fourth season of HBO’s acclaimed financial drama Industry this weekend, viewers are left eagerly anticipating what comes next. The season finale, punctuated by a shocking twist where a central character metaphorically transforms into Ghislaine Maxwell, has fans questioning the future of the series. Fortunately, there’s good news on the horizon.
Will There Be A Season 5 of Industry?
HBO delighted audiences on February 25, 2026, by confirming that Industry will return for its fifth and final season.
Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming and Head of HBO Drama Series and Films, expressed her enthusiasm in announcing the show’s renewal.
“It’s incredibly satisfying to see season four embraced by both fans and critics, who found it more expansive and exhilarating than ever. The exceptional performances from our talented cast have defined their careers. Together with the remarkable team led by executive producer Jane Tranter at Bad Wolf and executive producer Kathleen McCaffrey at Little Gems, we’re thrilled to share that the fifth season will conclude the compelling journey of Industry, as envisioned by Mickey and Konrad,” she stated.
In response to the announcement, series creators, writers, and executive producers Mickey Down and Konrad Kay expressed their gratitude and excitement. “Joining the select group of dramas reaching five seasons on HBO is an honor. It’s been nearly a decade since we first began crafting the universe of Industry,” they shared. They also extended thanks to the show’s dedicated fans and their partners at HBO and Bad Wolf, both past and present.
According to HBO, in its fourth season, Industry’s global viewing was roughly +30% ahead of the third season, with U.S. cross-platform viewers averaging 1.7M per episode so far. TV critics praised Season 4 for its “wildly ambitious reinvention,” and called it the show’s “best season yet“: “more self-assured, more stylish, and more powerful than ever before.”
A release date for Season 5 has yet to be set, although past seasons of Industry have consistently been released every two years.
