Georgia High School Seniors Benefit from Waived College Application Fees: A Boost for Higher Education Access

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — High school seniors across Georgia have a unique opportunity this March to apply to more than 60 colleges and universities throughout the state without the burden of application fees.

Thanks to a collaborative initiative involving the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC), the University System of Georgia (USG), the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), and private colleges, students can submit applications to as many institutions as they desire using fee waivers.

Students can explore state college options via the GEORGIA MATCH platform. When they secure a spot through the GEORGIA MATCH dashboard, their application fees are automatically waived.

Governor Kemp emphasized the initiative’s importance, stating, “We want every Georgia student to realize there’s a promising future awaiting them right here at home. By removing application fees, we’re smoothing the path for students to discover their perfect MATCH and embark on rewarding careers in the best state for living, working, and raising a family.”
