Sir Paul McCartney Steals the Spotlight at Star-Studded Stella McCartney Fashion Show

On Wednesday, Sir Paul McCartney was seen rubbing shoulders with an array of celebrities at his daughter Stella McCartney’s fashion show during Paris Fashion Week.

The legendary musician, now 83, was in high spirits as he warmly greeted stars like Hannah Waddingham, 51, and Oprah Winfrey, 72. The trio posed for photos together, setting a lively tone for the event.

Sir Paul was impeccably dressed for the occasion, sporting a navy blue suit complemented by a crisp white shirt.

Adding a touch of style, he draped a blue scarf around his neck and finished his ensemble with black suede shoes. He was accompanied by his wife, Nancy McCartney, 66.

Nancy exuded elegance in a chic navy blazer and tailored trousers, which she teamed with a light-blue graphic print T-shirt for a sophisticated look.

Turning up to show her support for her step-daughter Stella, 54, Nancy further accessorised her look with ombre aviator shades and a mini black velvet handbag.

Meanwhile, Hannah looked nothing short of sensational in a peach satin mini dress, which showcased her tanned, toned legs. 

To complete her look, she added inches to her frame with black strappy open-toe heels as she joined Sir Paul for several snaps on the front row. 

American host Oprah looked radiant in a structured peach blazer and a white blouse as she joined Sir Paul for photographs ahead of Stella’s Fall 2026 ready-to-wear runway. 

Later in the day, Sir Paul joined his stylish daughter Stella, whom he shared with his late ex-wife Linda McCartney. 

Stella looked effortlessly chic in a grey blazer and tailored trousers as she posed backstage with her father. 

Sir Paul’s outing comes after he admitted he was overbearing and bought into the criticism that he broke up The Beatles.

The musician has recently created a new Prime Video documentary, Paul McCartney Man On The Run.

The project follows Sir Paul’s extraordinary life, from the breakup of The Beatles to his time as a solo artist and a member of his later band, Wings. 

But as he reflected on his career in an interview with director Morgan Neville, Sir Paul spoke about how he feels when he is criticised by people.

He remarked: ‘Whenever I hear someone damning Paul McCartney, I tend to agree with them.

‘So when everyone was saying I broke up the Beatles, and I was just overbearing and all of that, I kind of bought into it.’ 

This isn’t the only time Sir Paul has become emotional when talking about the documentary.

During a screening of the release in London earlier this year, he admitted he felt ’emotional’ upon seeing his late wife Linda in the programme.

Linda, who died in 1998, shared four children with Sir Paul, including Heather, 63, who was adopted, Mary, 56, Stella, and James, 48.

Sir Paul said it helped him deal with the tumultuous time he faced following the breakup of The Beatles.

He said: ‘Seeing me and Linda interacting is very special because, you know, she is not here anymore. Me and Linda, the kids. The music. Me and John [Lennon].

‘These memories, it is like a life flashing in front of you. There are so many cool things. Even though there are some embarrassing moments, I come out of it thinking, “Yeah, I’m OK”.

‘All the stuff with the kids and Linda is lovely to see. Obviously, it’s emotional because she looks so beautiful. She’s so cool.’
