WRENS, Ga. — Stuckey’s Corporation, headquartered in Wrens, Georgia, has issued a voluntary recall of certain pecan log roll products due to a packaging error, the Georgia Department of Agriculture announced on Wednesday.
The department revealed that some “Cherry Pecan Log Roll” products were inadvertently wrapped in packaging labeled as “Original Pecan Log Roll.” This packaging mistake omits cherry from the list of ingredients.
Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J. Harper emphasized the importance of consumer safety, stating, “Safeguarding the health and well-being of Georgians is our utmost priority. We appreciate that the company promptly notified us about this potential issue, allowing us to take necessary actions. Our food safety team collaborates with state, federal, and industry partners to identify potential risks and respond quickly to ensure that the products available to consumers are safe, wholesome, and meet high standards.”
The recall affects products distributed to retail outlets in several states, including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.
