A gaming cafe in the southern suburbs of Midlothian, Illinois, has faced yet another break-in, marking the fourth such incident. Surveillance footage captured the alleged perpetrators in action.

The entire episode unfolded rapidly, occurring moments before law enforcement arrived at the scene.

The video shows the suspects using sledgehammers to shatter the front glass door and climb inside, proceeding to wreak havoc by demolishing gaming machines.

“I’m uncertain about the exact amount they stole, but they managed to take a box from one of the machines,” commented Tom Pekic of Anna’s Gaming Cafe. “This cannot be allowed to continue. It’s become excessive,” he added.

Traces of the vandalism remain visible at the establishment located at the corner of 147th Street and Kilbourn Avenue.

Business operator Pekic said this isn’t the first time it’s happened.

“They went in in October. Then, they came back again in January on a Sunday, didn’t succeed, came back on the very next Tuesday, broke in, smashed all the windows again. And now this is the fourth time,” Pekic said.

The video shows police lights outside as officers arrived, scaring the group out of the business, before, investigators say, they sped off in a vehicle but didn’t get far.

“They crashed the vehicle about a block away. They scattered, and then they were caught. Three out of the six were caught,” Pekic said. “There’s no amount of money in those machines that’s worth risking the rest of your future.”

Police did confirm three people from the group were caught, and charges are pending.

Pekic says the business will remain open while it undergoes repairs.
