Survivor 50 Drama Unveiled: Savannah Louie Breaks Silence on Pregame Alliances and Shocking Vote-Off

Savannah Louie is uncertain that pregame alliances were the reason behind her emotional departure from “Survivor 50.”

In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Louie shared her thoughts in response to claims by first boot Jenna Lewis Dougherty, who suggested some contestants had aligned before arriving in Fiji. “It did kind of feel like me, Jenna, and Joe [Hunter] were left as the little scraps, the leftovers,” she said.

Louie, a former TV news reporter and anchor, admitted, “I wasn’t involved in any pregame calls with these people, so I can’t genuinely comment on what they might have done.”

She also pointed out that “Survivor” is more than just a game played on an island. “You have to consider that ‘Survivor’ is literally a community. The game isn’t necessarily over when the cameras stop on day 26,” Louie added.

Louie mentioned that some Season 50 participants, like Cirie Fields and Ozzy Lusth, have long-standing relationships, making it natural for them to collaborate.

“You have some people who maybe they’re not best friends, but they have mutual friends, a mutual friend who can say, ‘Hey, I know person X, you can trust person Y. Let me be that bridge between you guys.’”

“So I’m not saying everybody here hopped on a Zoom call and formulated a plan, but you do have pre-existing relationships and it can make it really hard as someone who comes into the game without any of that,” she adds.

Louie won “Survivor 49” shortly before Season 50 started filming, so she didn’t have time to make bonds with the other returning players and started the game at an immediate disadvantage.

“During my one-and-a-half-week break in between seasons, I took a lot of time to spend time with my loved ones and everything,” she tells us.

“And I really wish I would have DM’d every single ‘Survivor’ player to ever exist and hook me up with some of those pregame alliances that may or may not have taken place on the island,” she adds with a laugh.

Louie also shed more light on the alliances between the players who unanimously voted her out.

“You have the Christian [Hubicki], [Rick] Devens and Emily [Flippen] trio. And then you have the Cirie and Ozzy duo. And those were like very obvious from a viewer perspective,” Louie shares.

“But I think along with the Christian, Emily and Devens trio, Cirie was also looped in with them as well. So you got four right there. Plus, Cirie’s bringing Ozzy along, so that’s five,” she continues. “And those five pretty much ruled everything that was happening in the game.”

“Survivor 50” airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on CBS.
