The widow of a much loved rugby figure and photographer killed in the Bondi terror attack has pleaded for his camera to be returned after revealing it remains missing after the shooting.

Virginia Meagher has issued a heartfelt plea for assistance in locating her late husband Peter’s camera, which went missing following a tragic incident in December. Peter, aged 61, had been attending the Chanukah by the Sea event as a photographer when the incident occurred.

Virginia turned to social media to reach out for help, expressing her desire to recover the camera. “As many of you know, my husband Peter’s life was sadly taken at Bondi on December 14th. It has come to light that someone, not affiliated with any official authority, took his camera from Archer Park,” she shared on Facebook.

Peter was a highly decorated police detective as well as a loving family man and pillar of the Randwick rugby club.

Virginia said at his funeral: “Every text message, WhatsApp and voicemail from Peter begins with ‘hi darling’ and ends with ‘I love you’.”
