The six American soldiers who lost their lives in the ongoing conflict with Iran are set to receive a dignified transfer ceremony on Saturday afternoon at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.

President Donald Trump, accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump, will be present at the ceremony, joined by numerous high-ranking officials and dignitaries to pay their respects.

These brave service members fell victim to a missile attack at a U.S. installation in Kuwait last week, marking one of the tragic events since hostilities with Iran commenced.

Among the fallen are troops with ties to Iowa, prompting the attendance of Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, alongside the state’s Republican senators, Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst.

Those six U.S. troops will be heading home after being killed in a missile strike at a U.S. facility in Kuwait last week, after the fighting got underway with Iran.

A few of those service members who were killed were from Iowa or had Iowa connections, and Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds will be in attendance, along with Iowa’s two senators, Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst, both Republicans.

This will be Trump’s first dignified transfer process he’s attended since being reelected to office last year.

The ceremony is set for 1:30 ET.
