ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — A Friday incident at SeaWorld Orlando resulted in six individuals being sent to the hospital.
According to NBC affiliate WESH, the Orange County Fire Rescue Department confirmed that the park visitors were transported to a local medical facility with injuries that were not life-threatening.
SeaWorld Orlando later provided a statement saying the guests reported not feeling well after “a ride experienced a brief operational pause lasting approximately seven minutes.”
The theme park said the guests were transported “out of an abundance of caution” and the ride resumed normal operations shortly afterward.
Officials did not state which ride the guests were on, nor what caused the operational pause.
No further information was immediately available.
