The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers are in for a treat as they witness Amanda Frances navigate her wedding planning journey. Set to marry Eddie Tsivislavsky later this year, Frances is allowing Bravo cameras to document the preparations. Although many details are still under wraps, Frances has been candid about her willingness to spend lavishly for her dream wedding. Despite some fans expressing surprise at her consideration of a seven-figure budget, Frances is not alone among Real Housewives stars in the pursuit of extravagant weddings.
Amanda Frances isn’t against dropping $1 million on her wedding
During the March 5 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Amanda Frances made waves with her wedding plans. The newcomer to the series discussed her vision for an unforgettable celebration, hinting at a helicopter entrance for her October 2026 nuptials. She also mentioned her ambition to host the event across two California towns. While she initially provided her fiancé with a specific budget, Frances confessed she is prepared to exceed it, even contemplating a million-dollar expenditure to ensure her dream day becomes a reality.

Frances, who is already not a favorite among Real Housewives fans, drew ire after she announced her plans. Not only did viewers find the over-the-top display of wealth tone-deaf, but they are also questioning how hard one would need to try to spend over $1 million on a wedding. Some fans questioned whether the showy wedding plans are simply a power play from Frances. If you look back, though, she wouldn’t be the first housewife to go all out on her special day.
Several ‘Real Housewives’ stars spent big bucks on their weddings
While Amanda Frances is being criticized for her lavish spending plans, she would not be the first Real Housewives star to spend seven figures on their wedding. Several Bravo stars have done just that, or came close to spending seven figures to celebrate their loves. Porsha Williams was the most recent.
In 2022, Prosha Williams, of The Real Housewives of Atlanta fame, reportedly spent $1 million to wed Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia. According to Reality Tea, Guobadia and Williams’ wedding spanned multiple days and included multiple ceremonies, including a traditional Nigerian wedding ceremony at the Four Seasons. Multiple events at high-end venues and several costume changes drove up the price.
Kim Zolciak leaned hard into over-the-top extravagance when she was planning her 2011 wedding to Kroy Biermann. The ceremony took place at their Georgia home, but that didn’t mean it was cheap. A cake worth nearly $60,000, elaborate floral arrangements, and a $60,000 Baracci gown drove the price up quickly. Their special day cost more than $1 million, according to several sources. As is true with most things involving Kim and Kroy, there was still drama. Several vendors claimed they were not paid for their services. The couple’s happily ever after didn’t even last long. They announced their split in 2023. The divorce has been dramatic.
There have been several other weddings in the Bravo universe that broke the bank, too. Kandi Burrus and Teresa Giudice both showed off with massive budgets, too.
