SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Two high school students from Central Illinois are advocating for legislative action to address what they identify as a rising environmental concern: the improper disposal of vaping devices.

Illinois House Bill (HB) 4652 proposes that companies selling electronic smoking products establish and finance initiatives for their safe disposal.

This initiative is spearheaded by two students from Pontiac Township High School, who undertook the project as part of their class assignment.
