Rihanna emerged unscathed following a shooting incident at her Los Angeles residence.
On March 8, a 30-year-old woman was taken into custody after discharging several shots from her car in the direction of Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home. The shooting occurred around 1 p.m., as confirmed by sources from law enforcement to both TMZ and the Los Angeles Times. According to a source who spoke with The Times, one of the shots—part of a barrage of at least 10 rounds—managed to penetrate a wall of the singer’s house.
At the time of the incident, the “Diamonds” superstar was present at her residence, as reported by the media outlets.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the shooting, police sergeant Jonathan de Vera assured The Times.
Rihanna, who is a mother to RZA, aged 3, Riot Rose, aged 2, and 5-month-old Rocki Irish Mayers with partner A$AP Rocky, has yet to release a statement regarding the alarming episode.
E! News has reached out to Rihanna’s rep and the LAPD for comment but hasn’t heard back.
It’s not the first time the Grammy winner has faced a scary experience at her home. Back in 2018, a 27-year-old man broke into her house in the Hollywood Hills by hopping a fence, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney. With Rihanna not home at the time, the perpetrator—identified by the D.A. as Eduardo Leon—spent 12 hours inside before he was discovered by an assistant. The 27-year-old pleaded no contest to stalking. He was ordered to stay away from Rihanna for 10 years.
