A woman stands accused of a grave offense following an incident involving gunfire at the Beverly Hills residence of pop icon Rihanna.

The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed to Oxygen that Ivanna Lisette Ortiz has been taken into custody on charges of attempted murder related to the March 8 shooting. The 35-year-old is currently detained with her bail set at $10,225,000.

Officials have labeled the situation as an “active LAPD Robbery Homicide Division investigation,” underscoring the seriousness of the case.

Authorities report that the shots rang out around 1:15 p.m. on March 8 at a property located on the 9500 block of Heather Road. Although the police have not officially named the residents, several media outlets, including The Los Angeles Times, have identified the occupants as Rihanna and her husband, rapper A$AP Rocky. The couple resides there with their three children—RZA, 3, Riot Rose, 2, and 5-month-old Rocki. Reports suggest that Rihanna was at home when the shooting occurred.

According to information from The Times, Ortiz allegedly fired several shots at the mansion from a vehicle parked across the street, subsequently fleeing the scene in a white Tesla. A police helicopter managed to track the vehicle to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where Ortiz was apprehended roughly 30 minutes after the first emergency call was made.

“When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody,” LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias told The Times,“they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings.”

He said police found bullet holes in a gate and RV that had been parked in the driveway of the pop star’s home during the investigation.

Police told Oxygen that no injuries were reported.

Authorities said they are still investigating whether the shooting had been a targeted attack.

This wasn’t Rihanna’s first scary encounter with a fan. In 2018, Eduardo Leon was arrested after he broke into the “Love on the Brain” singer’s Hollywood Hills home while she was away and spent about 12 hours inside. Leon—who gained entry to the property after hoping a fence—was found the next day by Rihanna’s assistant, per The Los Angeles Times. He later pleaded no contest to stalking.
