The New York Post spoke with some of Bryon’s relatives, who seem to believe the timeline of Kristi’s alleged affair with Lewandowski is genuine. As for why Bryon remains in the marriage, it appears to be a matter of faith. “He said he decided about 20 years ago that it was his calling from God to support her in whatever she decided to do,” a family member revealed. “So he has put up with the humiliation. We will see if he sticks with her now.”

The family member added, “I think it’s him honoring the calling from God. But it seems like there would be some limit to that.” Furthermore, it appears Bryon’s family does not hold Kristi in high regard. “She’s not the same girl — we used to be close friends,” another relative commented about her changed demeanor.

Unfortunately for Bryon Noem, Kristi Noem’s rumored affair with Corey Lewandowski just hit the national stage. Not that he wasn’t already aware. In early March 2026, as Kristi attended a congressional hearing related to her conduct as the DHS Secretary, she was questioned about a romantic relationship with Lewandowski, and Bryon was awkwardly present for much of it.

Despite previously denying that she and Lewandowski were involved, Kristi talked her way around the subject at the hearing. “Mr. Chairman, I am shocked that we are going down and peddling tabloid garbage in this committee today, and one thing that I will tell you is that he is a special government employee that works for the white house,” she said.

Kristi’s inability to give a yes or no answer apparently caught the attention of Bryon’s family members. “What gets me is she couldn’t say no,” one of his loved ones told the New York Post. “When she’s getting grilled about it, she couldn’t say no.” Of course, social media also noticed that Kristi didn’t outright deny an affair between herself and Lewandowski while under oath.

“Unbelievable. She didn’t say ‘no.’ She said ‘how dare you,’” wrote one person on X, formerly known as Twitter. “That’s the oldest move in politics: act offended, change the subject, hope the outrage becomes the answer.” They continued, “If it’s ‘tabloid garbage,’ then clearing it up should take one word. But she chose a speech.” Well, you can’t really argue with that logic!
