YouTube sensation Darren “IShowSpeed” has announced his quest for “30-50 capable individuals” to join him in the hunt for the elusive One Piece treasure. Celebrating the monumental achievement of the One Piece manga, which has now surpassed 600 million copies in global sales, creator Eiichiro Oda revealed through a video that he inscribed the secret of One Piece on paper, sealed it in a small box, and cast it into the sea.
This revelation quickly sparked a flurry of theories among fans on social media, eager to pinpoint the treasure’s location. Among them, Reddit user XiiLive speculated that Oda might have hidden it in Suruga Bay, located in Shizuoka Prefecture.

During a livestream on March 4, 2026, while IShowSpeed was reacting to posts on his Discord server, he came across Eiichiro Oda’s announcement about releasing One Piece’s secret into the ocean.
Expressing his desire to “find the One Piece,” the YouTuber said:
