Authorities have confiscated a water pistol and engaged with a 16-year-old girl following a lockdown at a TAFE campus triggered by reports of unusual activity.
Security personnel at Campbelltown TAFE contacted the police around 4:30 PM, reporting two individuals behaving suspiciously. This led officers to conduct a thorough search, inspecting each classroom and building on the premises.
NSW Police stated, “Upon arrival, officers accessed CCTV footage and initiated a search to locate the two individuals.”
“After a comprehensive sweep of the campus, no items of concern were discovered,” police added.
Later, around 7 PM, officers visited a residence in Campbelltown, where they spoke with a 16-year-old girl in connection to the incident.
About 7pm, officers went to a Campbelltown home where police said they spoke with a 16-year-old girl.
“As part of those inquiries, police seized a water pistol,” police said.
“Investigations continue.”
Earlier there were reports that someone had been spotted holding what was believed to be a firearm.
