Last Thursday, authorities in Tennessee apprehended a woman in connection with the murder of a man who was found with multiple gunshot wounds earlier in the week.

On February 26, a Memphis police officer came upon the lifeless body of 58-year-old Noe Rincon lying in the street. According to a report by WREG, Rincon had been shot 14 times, including sustaining gunshots to the head.

Witnesses reported that Rincon was last seen alive about an hour before his body was discovered. A woman with whom Rincon had been staying revealed to police that her daughter, 18-year-old Alishon Torres, had been using Rincon’s phone to call and text her. The woman also mentioned that she believed Rincon had left to buy food for her children and grandchildren.

On the day Rincon was killed, Torres allegedly asked to borrow his phone before confronting him and shooting him 10 times while inside a van. She reportedly confessed to later taking the van to an abandoned house to repaint it and then parking it at an apartment complex with her boyfriend. Torres asserted that her boyfriend was neither involved in nor aware of the shooting.

As reported by WHBQ, Torres told investigators that three to four weeks prior to the incident, a 5-year-old relative had accused Rincon of molestation. However, authorities have not confirmed whether these allegations have any basis.

Police reportedly seized a .40-cal. Beretta pistol from Torres’ purse after it fell to the ground. WREG reported that the pistol had no serial number. Torres allegedly confessed to selling or giving away the other gun used to kill Rincon.

Police eventually located the van, which had black paint on the front and back doors.

Torres is charged with first-degree murder, employing a firearm in the commission of a felony, and tampering with evidence. A Honduran citizen, she remains jailed on an immigration detainer.
