A heartwarming reunion unfolded when a 10-month-old puppy, who had been stolen from outside a Melbourne shopping center, was returned to her relieved owners. The puppy, named Dora, had won over the community after disappearing just yesterday.
In the wake of her disappearance, Dora’s owners issued an urgent appeal for her return. Their plea was bolstered by CCTV footage that surfaced, showing three women taking the puppy away.
Victoria Police reported, “Since Monday, extensive searches for Dora have been underway. Videos of the puppy, along with images of the three women believed to be involved, have been circulating widely online.”
Fortunately, Dora was discovered by police at a residence in Noble Park, a suburb nearly 30 kilometers from where she was initially taken.
Following the discovery, a 19-year-old woman was detained at the Barnett Grove property and is currently being questioned by authorities.
Wong yesterday told media he was desperate to reunite Dora with his four-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
“She misses Dora very much, they are like sisters,” he said.
“[Dora] means so much to her.”
Dora was uninjured and has since been reunited with her family.
