A fatal incident unfolded in Maryland on Tuesday when a SWAT sniper shot and killed a suspect accused of threatening a woman with a gun and injuring a Baltimore police officer during a reported burglary.
The event occurred at a residence located on the 6200 block of Park Heights Avenue in northwest Baltimore, as per the Baltimore Police Department’s report.
Authorities disclosed that the officer, aged 36 and serving with the department for 13 years, was hit in the leg by a bullet. Fortunately, he is currently in stable condition.

Police were dispatched to handle an active shooter situation at the specified address, where both an officer and the suspect sustained gunshot wounds, according to official statements.
In the aftermath of the shooting, a Baltimore SWAT sniper took action, fatally shooting the suspect who was threatening a young woman at gunpoint, as noted by officials.
Another woman was taken to the hospital after jumping out of a window during the incident.
Officials said both women were family members of the suspect.

The home is located near the Agudath Israel of Baltimore and Tiferes Yisroel synagogues.
However, Baltimore police told Fox News Digital in an email that the shooting “was NOT at a synagogue or religious institution.”
Baltimore police remain at the scene and multiple streets are closed.
