Bill Hemmer, a prominent figure on Fox News, has recently opened up about the poignant reason for his absence from the network this week. The co-host of “America’s Newsroom” has stepped away from the spotlight to mourn the passing of his beloved mother.

In an emotional Instagram tribute, Hemmer, aged 61, honored the memory of Georganne Mary Hemmer, who was 86 at the time of her passing. His heartfelt message resonated with his followers, offering a glimpse into the deep bond they shared.

“I will forever miss this beautiful smile,” Hemmer expressed alongside a touching photograph of himself with his mother. “My Mom was clever, fun, funny, always guided by her faith. And she lived it, too,” he added, highlighting her vibrant spirit and unwavering faith.

Hemmer went on to emphasize the core values his mother cherished, noting, “Her two priorities were God and family: five kids, 11 grandkids, 8 great-grandchildren (and still counting).” These words paint a picture of a life devoted to faith and family, a legacy that continues to thrive through her descendants.

‘Her two priorities were God and family: five kids, 11 grandkids, 8 great-grandchildren (and still counting).

‘Georganne Mary Hemmer is reunited for eternity with my Dad, the love of her life. If anyone’s in heaven, they are. Rest forever in gentle peace, Ma. I love you. (Note: If your parents are still in reach, don’t hesitate. They can’t wait to hear from you),’ he added.

Georganne died on March 4, a little more than a year after Hemmer’s father, William R. Hemmer, passed on February 1, 2025.

A funeral service was held for Georganne on Sunday, followed by a burial on Monday in Cincinnati, Ohio, according to her obituary.
