Expecting her second child, actress Wunmi Mosaku stepped out in style at the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards, held on March 12, 2026, in Los Angeles, California.

The star graced the blue carpet in an elegant black beaded gown, proudly showing off her baby bump. She was accompanied by her husband, Tash Moseley, who tenderly placed his hand on her belly as they smiled for the cameras.

Throughout her pregnancy, Mosaku has consistently opted for high-fashion looks. She recently shared with British Vogue that while attending red carpet events, she prioritizes comfort in her attire.

“Finding stylish flat shoes is actually quite a challenge,” she remarked to the publication.

“It’s actually really difficult to get cute flat shoes,” she told British Vogue.

Her stylist, Shameelah Hicks , echoed the challenge of dressing a pregnant client without sacrificing style.

“We go for comfort but we don’t want to look like we are wearing maternity clothes,” Hicks said.

“It’s fashion that happens to be pregnancy-friendly,” Mosaku concurred.

That desire to want fashionable pregnancy clothing has even inspired Mosaku to begin designing her own maternity fashion line. Frustrated by the lack of stylish options available for expectant mothers, she began developing a collection called Iyadé, which translates to “mother has arrived” in Yoruba.

The line, which Mosaku has been working on for more than a year, will feature fashion-forward pregnancy-friendly pieces. In fact, she was already wearing early samples from the collection last year before learning she was expecting again.

“I want to spotlight mothers and make them feel beautiful, seen and represented,” she said.

Mosaku also shared that her personal style reflects her multicultural background.

“I really like representing my two cultures. I like wearing Black designers as much as possible,” the Nigerian and British actress explained.

ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards brought together many of the entertainment industry’s biggest names.

Hosted by Marsai Martin, the evening honored Black women who continue to shape film and television.

Among the honorees and attendees were Kerry Washington, Chase Infiniti, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, and Zinzi Coogler, with a Luminary Spotlight highlighting the women of Sinners.
