The costs of essential farming supplies, such as fertilizers, are spiking, and fuel prices for gasoline and diesel are also climbing. Bailey Conrady, who manages the Champaign County Farmer’s Bureau, expressed concerns that these rising expenses are compounding the challenges of an already difficult year for the farming community.
