Melbourne Police Arrest Over a Dozen Suspects at Gunpoint in Major Crackdown

Police arrested more than a dozen people in Melbourne‘s west this morning following reports of an alleged assault.

Early this morning, emergency responders were dispatched to a residence in Mambourin, close to Wyndham Vale, due to reports of an alleged assault on a man.

Upon their arrival, officers were met with resistance as the occupants of the house reportedly refused to exit.

Specialized tactical units were deployed to the location, where they proceeded to search the premises and subsequently detained 13 individuals.

Inside the house, police discovered a man in his 20s who was found unresponsive.

He was promptly transported to the hospital, where he is currently in a stable condition.

9News understands the property hosted a party last night and it is often used for short-term accommodation after being rented out online.

One neighbour said the situation has become a nuisance.

“We don’t know what kind of people come and stay there,” he said.

Most of the people who were arrested by police were later allowed to leave.

Officers are investigating what happened.
