In a recent Truth Social post, President Trump proclaimed that the United States has outmatched Iran “militarily, economically, and in every conceivable aspect.” He urged nations dependent on oil transported through the Strait of Hormuz to ensure the security of this crucial passageway.

“Nations around the globe that rely on oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz must safeguard this route, and we will offer substantial assistance,” Trump stated on the platform.

He added, “The U.S. will collaborate with these countries to ensure operations proceed swiftly, smoothly, and effectively. This should have always been a collective effort, and now it will be — fostering global unity for harmony, security, and lasting peace!”

The Hill has contacted the White House to seek their response regarding Trump’s statements.

Trump’s assertion of the U.S. having “beaten” Iran follows his earlier remarks on Friday, where he claimed that Iran is “completely defeated” and is seeking a deal, according to another post on Truth Social.

The president told reporters on Friday he has his “own idea” of how long the U.S. operation in the Middle Eastern country would ultimately last.

“I mean, I have my own idea. But what good does it do?” Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews when asked about the duration of the war. “It’ll be as long as it’s necessary.”

On Friday, Trump launched what he referred to as  “one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island.”

The bombardment took place after Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, said last week that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed as long as the conflict continues, triggering further fears of economic upheaval.

On Saturday, Trump announced that numerous countries will send ships to the Strait of Hormuz amid its closure.

“Many Countries, especially those who are affected by Iran’s attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s Military capability, but it’s easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close range missile somewhere along, or in, this Waterway, no matter how badly defeated they are.”
