A man’s social media post has captured widespread attention after he recounted an unexpected encounter with his ex-girlfriend and her husband at Lagos airport that ended with a generous gift.
Identified on Facebook as Comr Ishaku Kingsley Hassan, the man detailed how he initially exchanged greetings with the couple at the airport. During their conversation, he shared news of his forthcoming wedding.

In a surprising turn of events, the ex-girlfriend’s husband reached into his wallet and handed Hassan $300 as a gesture of support for his upcoming nuptials.
Describing his reaction to the unexpected generosity, Hassan wrote, “I said everything is going well. This man brought out his wallet and, to my surprise, handed me three $100 bills as marriage support. I was shocked but kept my composure, accepted the money, and thanked him sincerely.”
Hassan also revealed that it had been some time since he last held dollars that were his own. He mentioned leaving Gombe for Abuja in search of financial opportunities as far back as 2026.
Man Displays Ex-girlfriend’s Text
In his now-viral post, the Facebook user displayed a message from his ex-girlfriend expressing disappointment in him for accepting money from her husband.
”Why you disappoint me like this, you for no collect hype you in his presence but you collected and even thanked him“, She stated in the text.
In response, he stated, “I want to even squad down and thank him. I no dey envy grace, abeg no dey package me in my helpers eyes”.
