Barbie Ferreira made a striking impression at the 2026 Oscars with a look that captivated all in attendance.

The 29-year-old former Euphoria star dazzled on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, on Sunday, March 15. Her choice of attire was a breathtaking royal blue gown crafted by designer Zac Posen for GapStudio. The dress featured a low-cut corset top, complemented by a voluminous skirt adorned with a charming bow at the back. To complete her Old Hollywood-inspired look, Ferreira styled her hair in classic waves and opted for a neutral lipstick paired with delicate silver jewelry.

Ferreira, known for her role as Kat Hernandez in the first two seasons of Euphoria, made her Oscars appearance in anticipation of her upcoming film, Mile End Kicks, set to premiere in theaters on April 17.

This Oscars appearance comes after Ferreira has been vocal about her journey with body positivity and self-image.

Euphoria's Barbie Ferreira Says She Was 'Gagged' When She Saw Her Sexy VS Fashion Show Look: 'Pinch Me Moment'

In a related note, Barbie Ferreira expressed her excitement about participating in the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The actress, at 28, shared exclusive insights with Us Weekly about her “pinch me” moment before taking to the runway in Brooklyn, New York, on Wednesday, October 15. She remarked, “I kind of feel like I have entered a different world.”

“I was very insecure with my body for a long time,” the model told InStyle in 2019, relating her personal journey with self-confidence to that of her Euphoria character, whose own struggles with body image were documented on the show. “I was absorbing all this media bullshit that basically told me I have to change, and that every woman has to adhere to a certain beauty standard.”

In 2020, Ferreira shared that she still struggles with body image.

“Sometimes I’m like, ‘I’m the hottest girl in the world!’ And sometimes I’m like, ‘I’m the ugliest girl in the world!’ That doesn’t come from logic, and I essentially look the same in both scenarios, but it’s just my feeling,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “Sometimes I love talking about it, and sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I’m fed up that I have to even acknowledge my body. People don’t ask thin people: ‘How do you have the confidence to go outside? How do you have the confidence to wear clothes?’ I have been called brave just for existing my whole life.”

In a 2022 interview with Who What Wear, Ferreira got candid about the pressure “of being this person who loves themselves.”

“I think bigger bodies are not as ‘trendy’ as they used to be, which is really sad to me,” she explained. “But it’s more of a conversation of the fact that we all struggle with self-love, and I don’t think any young person has really figured it out yet.”

The model added that some fans expect her to have a perfect relationship with her body.

“It’s so funny that people just assume that. Did I say that? I never said that. You guys just say that. You posted that on me,” she said.

Addressing comments she’s received from fans, Ferreira continued, “It’s not radical for me to be wearing a crop top. [Comments like those are] just backhanded compliments. I’ve been doing this since I was 16. I’m 25.”
